Appearance: When teaching Matt has a very kept and sophisticated appearance. His hair always neatly parted and his face clean shaved. His clothes are what you would expect from a teacher. Dress pants, button up collar shirt, and a tie. Nothing to out of the ordinary about him.
However out of the class he is quick to undo the tie and untuck his shirt. Most people wouldn't recognize him outside of the classroom as he looks younger than he appears and his clothing goes through a drastic change. He is often seen with a leather jacket and jeans on. Some people just assume he is going through a early mid life crisis or something and trying to embrace his inner biker.
Personality: Matt is very strict yet kindhearted. He is also somewhat of a hypocrite. Constantly talking about how he can't stand slackers when he himself is one. While in the classroom he appears to be just another teacher trying to hammer knowledge into peoples heads. He wants everyone to learn and doesn't want any of his students left behind. Even if he may yell or single you out he has his reasons for doing so.
He is easily approachable outside of class and is more than willing to help where it is needed whether it be for tutoring or some odd job that the student is just uncomfortable asking anyone else about. Matt is also some what of a bookworm and is always seen reading. Depending on the book he may or may not get angry if he is interrupted.

History:Matt grew up in a pretty average family. His parents were always working and were rarely home to spend time with him. So he found himself turning to books to keep his interest. His parents more than accommodated this supplying him with plenty to read. As he got older though he noticed he was different than his friends. Not sure what was going on he decided to study what was going on and found that he was different.
This fact was hidden from his parents and still is to this day. At the age of 18 after graduating from a normal high school he decided he wanted to be a teacher. After getting his Bachelors he is where he is today.
